K-6 Common Core and Coding

codeCampus is an online training tool for teaching K-6 teachers how to teach code in their class.  The first hour of training and 2 weeks worth of lesson ideas are free.  I only checked out the first part of the course but it looks professional and well done.  There are short videos followed by coding activities.  I think this would be a good PD day activity for a group of teachers.  The coding is based on using Scratch (which is also free) so this is something you can try out risk free.  I would say it is best for a grade 3-6 group that has very little programming experience.  If you try it out let me know how it goes.
